This is where the descent runs out. From 8,848 metres at one end of our map to nothing at all at this one, sea level, warm and flat and busy with boats. The week starts on a river in Bangkok and finishes on the Andaman, and the thing that holds the two halves together is the eating.
Thailand is the easy yes. Warm water, warmer welcomes, and food worth flying for. Bangkok glitters along the river at Wat Arun, and an hour later you can be on a longtail boat between limestone cliffs.
We pair the cities with the quieter islands, the temples with the beaches, so the trip has a rhythm instead of a checklist. You stay where the service is genuine and the views earn their keep.

What we plan here
- Bangkok and the temples
- Krabi and the islands
- Longtail boat days
- Food-led experiences

THE SHAPE OF THE DAYS
Seven days from the river to the sea
A city and a coast inside one week, with the boat days doing the work of slowing you down. This is one shape the trip can take. Yours will be its own.
DAY 01
Arrive in Bangkok
We meet you at Suvarnabhumi and get you to the river, which is the part of the city worth waking up beside. Dinner comes from a kitchen on the water, ordered by your guide unless you would rather point at things yourself.
SLEEPS AT Bangkok, 2 mDAY 02
Temples and the river
Cross to Wat Arun by ferry in the morning and climb as far up the prang as they allow, then take a longtail into the canals where the city goes quiet and wooden. In the evening we send you across town for one specific plate of food, and it is worth the traffic.
SLEEPS AT Bangkok, 2 mDAY 03
Fly south to Krabi
An hour and a half in the air and the traffic turns into tide. You are checked in and in the water by mid afternoon, and there is nothing else on today.
SLEEPS AT Krabi coast, sea levelDAY 04
Islands by longtail boat
We hire a longtail and its boatman for the whole day rather than a seat on a shared one, so you can skip the busy beaches and sit in the coves that keep no schedule. Lunch comes with you on the boat.
SLEEPS AT Krabi coast, sea levelDAY 05
A day that plans itself
Nothing is booked today, and that is on purpose. We hold a few things loosely, a climbing morning, a kayak through the mangroves, a cooking lesson, and you choose over breakfast.
SLEEPS AT Krabi coast, sea levelDAY 06
Phang Nga Bay, the quiet way
We leave at six, which sounds unkind until you have the limestone bay to yourselves for two hours. By the time the tour boats show up you are already turning for home with breakfast on board.
SLEEPS AT Krabi coast, sea levelDAY 07
Depart, salt still in the air
We arrange a late checkout so the last morning is still a morning and not a scramble. Then a short drive to Krabi airport and home.
SLEEPS AT Krabi coast, sea level
Sea level is not the bottom of anything. It is where the mountains have been sending the water all along.
